This is an early printing of Michael Ende's famous millionseller book. Michael Ende lived in Rome, Italy after struggling with the German critics and avoided the limelight. The book 'Momo' had relatively small print runs in the beginning because the German critics did not know how to classify his work properly. After Ende's international breakthrough at the beginning of the eighties with the 'Unendliche Geschichte' (The Neverending Story) the book was sold more then seven million times and translated in more then fifty different languages.
Book is near fine with miniscule rubbing on the bottom edges of the hardcover and almost unread.
Dustjacket is near fine with minor signs of shelfwear to the edges. Now protected with a transparent archival sleeve.
