First Edition, first printing. Little, Brown and Company, Boston 1969. 8 vo., 309 pp.
" 'The French Connection' is a gripping account of an extraordinary narcotics case told as it actually happened. It began almost accidentally when New York detectives Eddie Egan and Sonny Grosso routinely tailed a Pasquale "Patsy" Fuca after he did some wild spending at the Copacabana. Soon these alert policemen realized that they were on to something really big. Patsy was not only the nephew of a wanted gang lord but also a key negoiator in an impending delivery of hard narcotics from abroad. His connections were with several Frenchmen, including Jean Jehan, the director of the world's largest heroin network, and Jaques Angelvin, a well-know French television star..."
