The bindings of the early editions often correspond with the appreciation of the classical English poet Alexander Pope at that time. This is a copy with extraordinarily magnificent binding art and beautiful armorial supralibros of James Hamilton, 1st. Earl of Clanbrassil (1693 - 1758). The spines and edges occasionally with minimal rubbing, overall condition very good, pages are clean and bright, some of them with mild spotting.
